Challenge
Tata Motors' EV division needed a high-efficiency stator winding solution for their new drive motor. Requirements: 0.8mm wire gauge, high slot fill factor, 500+ units/day output, and equipment capable of operating in India's high-temperature, high-humidity environment.
Solution
Recommended configuration: 4× LJ-7HS dual-station 400 center winding machines, plus multi-strand single-station internal winding machines for specialty coils. Equipment upgraded with moisture-resistant coating and enhanced cooling modules. Touchscreen preloaded with Hindi language option. Critical components rated IP65.
Results
Daily output reached 550 units with 78% slot fill factor (exceeding the 75% target). Stable operation at 45°C ambient temperature over 12 months. Customer ordered a second production line.
