Frequently Asked Questions

Selection, customization, pricing, support — 47 common questions about our winding, magnet, and paper inserting equipment.

📦 Selection & Technical

How do I choose the right winding machine model?

Four numbers are enough: stator inner diameter, outer diameter, stack height, and wire diameter. Also tell us your daily output target. Our engineers can recommend the right model after a quick look at your drawing. If you are still unsure, just send us a stator sample — we will wind it and ship it back for your inspection. Sampling is free.

Can the machines be customized?

Yes. We are a source factory, not a trading company. We have handled tooling and fixtures, tension control, multi-strand parallel winding, and explosion-proof/cleanroom adaptations. In one extreme case, a customer needed 0.03mm gold wire — if the tension was too high it broke, too low it loosened; it took two weeks to stabilize. So do not worry about unusual requirements, just tell us clearly. Custom builds typically take 30–45 days.

Can winding, magnet insertion, and paper inserting machines form an automated line?

Yes. Chongqing Lihua and Huasheng Motor both use our turnkey line solutions. A typical flow: paper insertion → winding → magnet insertion → dispensing → inspection, linked by conveyors between stations. But think it through — an integrated line fits single-model, high-volume production. If you change models three times a day, standalone machines are more flexible. Do not automate for automation's sake.

How much does a winding machine cost?

There is no one-size-fits-all price. Entry-level models start at tens of thousands of RMB, while high-speed six-station machines run into several hundred thousand RMB — the same logic as buying a car: both an economy car and an Audi are still cars. We sell factory-direct with no middleman markup. Send your stator parameters and output target and we will quote within the day.

Can I get a free sample test before ordering?

Yes — and it is a real sample, not a generic demo. We wind with your actual wire diameter and stator parameters, then ship the wound sample back so you can check turn count, inspect winding layout, and run it on your assembly line. Only talk about equipment after you are satisfied. We are confident enough to be tested.

What are the payment terms and delivery time?

Standard terms: 30% deposit on contract signing and 70% before shipment. We accept T/T and L/C. Standard machines ship in 15–30 days; custom machines add about 15 days. Equipment is packed in fumigated wooden crates for sea or air freight, FOB Ningbo or Shanghai. We have already exported to 20+ countries, so logistics is our job, not yours.

What winding precision can you achieve?

Turn-count error is within ±0.5 turns. Winding uniformity is held to 0.02mm — about one fifth of a human hair. The servo motors and ball screws we use are Japanese and German brands, not generic parts. Every machine runs 72 hours continuously before leaving the factory; it does not ship unless it passes.

What warranty and after-sales support do you provide?

One-year warranty on the whole machine. When a problem comes up we first check remotely by video — 80% of cases are just parameters not set correctly and can be solved over the phone. If spare parts are needed, we ship them. If it still cannot be solved, an engineer comes on site. Labor is free within the first year; after that we charge only travel costs. For overseas customers we work through local agents or fly engineers over for training. Every machine has a tracked service file.

Is the machine difficult to operate? Do I need specialists?

No. It uses a touchscreen HMI in both Chinese and English. Two days of training is normally enough. After commissioning, daily operation is just: load → press start → unload. One person does what used to take three. We provide operation manuals and video tutorials, and can send an engineer to your factory for 3–5 days of on-site training. Honestly, the hardest part is convincing veteran workers that the machine winds better than by hand — after a month of data, nobody argues.

What certifications are needed for export?

CE is standard. UL and CSA are available at extra cost and lead time. Each machine ships with bilingual Chinese/English manuals, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and a spare parts list. Many overseas motor manufacturers already run our equipment — you can rest assured on certifications, they check stricter than you would.

How can overseas customers buy? Do you have distributors?

Contact us directly. Our machines have been exported to many countries, and we have partner agents in some regions. New distributor inquiries are also welcome. English communication is no problem; we can also handle Spanish and Arabic.

Can I visit your factory?

Please do. We are in Jiaojiang, Taizhou, with a 20,000 m² factory. Call ahead and an engineer will walk you through the whole process — from raw materials to assembly to test runs, nothing hidden. Taizhou has a high-speed rail station and airport, and Ningbo/Wenzhou are convenient transfers. Once you visit, you will understand why overseas customers choose us.

🧩 Customization & Production Lines

What wire diameter range can you wind?

We normally cover 0.1mm to 3.0mm. We have also handled 0.03mm gold wire, and thicker wires depend on the slot shape and winding method. Send your wire diameter, stator slot profile, and turn count target, and our engineers will give you a straight answer.

How do I choose the number of stations? Single vs. six-station?

Simply put: single-station is cheaper and more flexible for small batches and multiple models; multi-station is faster and suits one model at high volume. Output decides the station count — a few hundred pieces a day fits single/dual-station, several thousand fits four/six-station. If unsure, give us your output target and cycle time, and we will work out the ROI with you.

Does the machine support automatic wire cutting, loading, and die changeover?

Wire cutting, clamping, and laying are fully automatic. Loading and die changeover can be semi-automatic or fully automatic depending on budget. Our advice: automate the core winding station first, then decide on loading/unloading based on labor cost — do not push for full automation from day one.

How stable is tension control? Will thin wire break?

Stable. We use closed-loop tension control with variation under 2%. Thin wires down to 0.03mm are no problem — the key is the tension curve and wire path, both of which we tune specifically during custom builds.

How long does a model changeover take?

Tooling is modularized. Once the locating pins are set, a skilled operator can complete the changeover in about 30 minutes — far cheaper than running a separate machine. For multi-model, small-batch customers we design quick-change tooling from the start.

Do stator slot/pole counts affect machine selection?

Yes. Slot and pole counts determine the winding path, spanning pattern, and cycle time. Send slot count, pole count, wire diameter, turn count, and stack height together, and our engineers will select the right winding program and tooling. The more complete your drawing, the faster the selection.

Can you wind outer rotors, inner rotors, and slotless stators?

Yes. We have machines for inner winding, outer winding, and flyer winding. Special structures like slotless stators are also doable, with dedicated tooling. Send a sample or drawing first, and we will confirm the process before quoting a solution.

What daily output can the machines reach?

It depends on stations and cycle time. A single-station machine does a few hundred pieces a day, dual-station roughly doubles that, and four/six-station machines reach several thousand. Larger stators and higher turn counts slow the cycle. Give us dimensions and turn count, and we will calculate daily capacity from the cycle time.

Can the magnet insertion machine prevent reverse polarity?

Yes. Our magnet inserters run a Hall-sensor polarity check before insertion — if the polarity is wrong, the machine stops and alarms immediately. Vision-positioned models hold positioning accuracy of ±0.05mm.

💰 Pricing & Business

Can the paper inserter cut and form insulation paper automatically?

Yes. The paper inserter automatically feeds, cuts, forms, and inserts the paper, with slot dimensions set on the touchscreen. Paper length and fold edges are configured to your stator parameters.

Do you also provide auxiliary equipment like dispensing and inspection?

Yes. Dispensing machines, inspection stations, conveyors, and robotic loading/unloading are all available. They can be linked with winding, paper insertion, and magnet insertion into a full line, or used standalone. If you are only missing one process, we supply just that one.

Besides winding machines, how do I choose magnet and paper inserters?

For winding machines, look at wire diameter, slot profile, and cycle time; for magnet inserters, check magnet size, pole count, and whether vision positioning is needed; for paper inserters, check insulation paper thickness, slot profile, and forming method. Send dimensions and output for all three, and our engineers will select them together.

What information do I need to provide for a quotation?

At minimum four items: stator/rotor drawing or dimensions, wire diameter, turn count, and target daily output. A sample is even better, plus magnet and insulation paper specs. The more complete the information, the more accurate and faster the quotation.

Do you have standard machines in stock?

Some popular models are in stock or already in production and can ship in 3–7 days. Non-standard and custom machines are scheduled per lead time. Send your parameters and we will check stock and the production schedule the same day.

How long does custom equipment take?

Custom machines take 30–45 days; complex lines take 45–60 days or more. The lead time starts after the design is frozen, so early drawing confirmation matters. After signing, we provide a detailed production schedule with milestones.

🚢 Delivery & Logistics

How is shipping handled? Is the packaging reliable?

We use fumigated wooden crates with moisture-proof and shock-proof packing. Sea and air freight are both available, FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, with CIF/DDP on request. Crates are custom-made to machine size, and we have shipped to 20+ countries without packaging issues.

How do you guarantee delivery time? Will it be delayed?

The delivery date is written into the contract. Standard machines ship in 15–30 days; custom adds about 15 days. We follow the production schedule and can send weekly progress photos. In genuine force majeure situations, we communicate early — we do not disappear.

What documents are included for export?

Standard: bilingual Chinese/English manuals, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, spare parts list, and packing list. CE certificate is included for applicable models. If you need a certificate of origin or fumigation certificate, tell us in advance and we will arrange it.

📄 Certification & Export

Can you add certifications? How do UL/CSA work?

Yes. CE is standard; UL, CSA and others are available at extra cost and lead time. We cooperate with the certification body by providing drawings, electrical control documentation, and machines for testing. Customers exporting to North or South America should clarify certification requirements in advance.

Can the machine voltage and frequency be adjusted?

Yes. The default is 380V/50Hz three-phase. For export we adjust motors, transformers, and controls to the destination country's voltage and frequency. When ordering, be sure to state local voltage, frequency, and air pressure requirements.

What are the air and site requirements?

Typically 0.5–0.6MPa compressed air. Leave enough space for operation and maintenance, and confirm floor load capacity against the machine weight. Before delivery we send foundation drawings and air/electrical interface drawings so you can prepare in advance.

How long is the warranty? What about core components?

One year for the whole machine. Core components such as servo motors, ball screws, and guide rails follow the manufacturer's warranty, normally over one year. Within the first year, parts and labor are free; after that we charge only parts cost and travel.

How fast do you respond when something breaks?

Phone/video response within 24 hours, most issues solved the same day. When on-site service or spare parts are needed, we use the fastest shipping. For overseas customers we prioritize remote diagnosis — if we can avoid opening the cover, we do.

🔧 After-Sales & Support

How is overseas installation and training arranged?

We can guide remotely by video, or send engineers to install and train on site. Installation and commissioning usually take 3–7 days; operator training takes 2–3 days. Cost is discussed by region and written into the contract.

Are spare parts easy to buy later? How long to deliver?

Yes. We keep common wear parts in stock and ship the same day you order via WeChat or email. Core components use standard brands, so local substitutes are usually available. Each machine includes a spare parts list — just order by part number.

Do you provide manuals and video tutorials? What interface languages?

Yes. Chinese and English interfaces are standard, and other languages can be added. Operation manuals, maintenance manuals, and video tutorials are delivered with the machine and also provided electronically. If you need more materials after training, we will send them.

How soon can the machine start production after arrival?

Installation and commissioning take 3–7 days. Together with operator ramp-up, stable production is usually reached in about a week. We recommend training during commissioning, so the team is ready when acceptance is done.

Can you diagnose and update the program remotely?

Yes. Once the machine is networked, our engineers can view parameters, diagnose issues, and update the program remotely. Many problems are solved without waiting for an on-site visit. For process parameters, we can also walk you through adjustments remotely.

We are an overseas customer — how do we communicate?

English is fine, and we can also handle Spanish and Arabic. Technical documents come in Chinese and English, with other languages translated on request. Video calls can be scheduled in advance, and we will work around your time zone.

🏭 Company & Factory

How do I discuss distributor partnerships?

Welcome. We have a regional agent system with pricing, sample machines, training, and after-sales support. Specific terms are discussed by region, sales volume, and service capability. Send your company profile and target territory, and we will evaluate and reply.

How long has the company been around? How big is the factory?

Our factory is in Jiaojiang, Taizhou, with a 20,000 m² facility. We have specialized in motor automation equipment for years and export to many countries. We are a genuine source factory — come see the production lines anytime.

What is the typical machine lifespan?

With normal maintenance, ten years or more is no problem. The key is lubrication of guide rails and ball screws, and cleaning of tension components. We provide a maintenance schedule — follow it and the machine stays stable.

Will the machine lose precision over time?

Not under normal use. Closed-loop servo control and precision ball screws/guide rails hold accuracy long term — that is exactly why every machine runs 72 hours continuously before shipment. If precision does drift, check wear parts and parameter drift first; most cases recover by replacing the worn part.

Why are your machines priced the way they are?

We do not claim to be the cheapest, and we do not win orders by lowballing. Factory-direct pricing removes the middleman, and we use Japanese and German core components — that stability is worth the cost. Bring a competitor's quote and we will compare line by line. There is a reason for every dollar; you judge whether it is worth it.

Can I track production progress after ordering?

Yes. The contract lists production milestones — design, machining, assembly, commissioning, and acceptance — and we update you at each stage. If you want photos or videos, we will send them anytime. No customer is left waiting in the dark.
